Are you a software professional in the Black Hills?

After being absent for some time, Compile Black Hills returned with this event at Haycamp Brewing Company.

The objective was simple. Bring together a community of software professionals in the Black Hills of South Dakota for a networking, conversation, and connection evening. We know many freelancers, contractors, remote workers, and software shops are in the area, and there was an influx of software people last year. It was time to engage and re-engage with this community.

The event was sponsored by Haycamp Brewing Company, SRAM, Omnitech, and South Dakota Mines.

We were excited to have Rich Raposa, Certification Manager from Elastic, talk to the group about Elasticsearch. Rich explained what it was and the problems it was good for solving and provided a few examples. Elasticsearch is a popular platform, and we are lucky to have an expert in the area.
